QOTD- What is Dehydrated Fish Food?

source: http://www.buyspirulinaalgae.com

Dehydrated food is the new big thing in the hobby.

Most all fish foods are meant for growing out fish fast for us to eat, not keeping fish health in mind. This all changed when a man named Clay Neighbors brought as the aspects of quality food to aquatics. This is rare, since the pay back is really nothing compared to the time spent creating such an amazing thing for aquatics. Most all foods are repackaged from the aqua-culture market for human food, which is so much larger.

Dehydrated food preserved important vitamins and minerals of the food, not adjusting chemical make ups.

In theory, it’s easier on digestion

Clay, working with a number of other people, including Carl Strohmeyer, master mind many things in the aquatic hobby/industry focused on the best ingredients possible for fish. Much more information in the Quality Fish Food article linked below on Fish Nutrition.

Limiting Starch in the food, usually used as a binder. Limiting excess energies, stored as fats in the fish. Limiting protein, which extra causes liver organ issues.

Fish in the wild are so much different then the ones kept in the hobby. The fats stored in aquatic pets is huge compared to natural fish, causing a shorten life.

This is all for disease prevention and overall health of a long living fish as pets.
